Pierre & Vacances Mallorca Portofino - Santa Ponsa

The apartment was super clean with comfortable beds.

I was frustrated with the broken bathbox in our room. Every shower turned the bathroom into a lagoon. The pool was significantly smaller than advertised. It felt misleading and disappointing.

The 2 bedroomed apartment we had was in the Sorrento block. It was spacious and clean, overlooked the swimming pool and had a lovely view of the bay. The staff were friendly and helpful. If this were a family/couples only complex it would be a great place to keep returning to.

There were groups of young men in 3 or 4 of the apartments, who made an awful lot of noise at times, shouting across the complex to each other, playing loud, thumping "music"(!) constantly, gathering in each other's apartments to party and, after going out later in the evening returning around dawn, being just as noisy. If they hadn't been there the holiday would have been perfect but I won't be booking to stay at these apartments again, in case the same were to happen.

Absolutely amazing and clean place to stay in, it has absolutely courteous staff at desk and room services. Glad I took apartment, it was brand-new and modern. There is a good choice of supplies like : climate control, a sofa bed and a TV set.

Consider utilizing the nearby supermarket for essential supplies to enhance your stay, especially for preparing meals.

The location and the size of the apartments were much more than I expected .Kitchen could have been a bit better It was very basic . The staff were all very friendly made you very welcome .Going back next year.

Wi-Fi connectivity poor!!! The pool hours limited to 10am to 6pm-very inconvenient for early risers or those wanting to unwind in the evening!!!

The two pool areas offered a lovely space for relaxation, perfect for families looking to unwind.

We encountered issues with insect bites , leaving us uncertain about the cleanliness of the accommodations.

The Spanish staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient. The apartments are clean and a good size.

We did not get any sleep all week. Portofinio need to inforce a zero tolerance of noise after midnight. We were woken 10-20 times by guests returning to their apartments in the early hours. There was one particular scottish family who behaved like animals - screaming, swearing, arguing, going up and down in the lift, slaming doors, dragging furniture around etc. Unfortunately they were not the only ones who had no respect for people tring to sleep. The noise from these people must have been heard all over the apartment block but as there is only one old Spanish man on reception between midnight and 8am nothing was done about it. We will not be returning to Portofino for this reason, which is a shame because in every other respect the apartments are very nice. We will return to Santa Ponsa because it is a lovely resort.

The location was in the quieter part of Santa Ponsa but it was still beside the beach.

The cooking facilities in the appartment were pointless, the hobs did not work properly and could not cook anything.

Hotel is close to the beach, free municipal parking is about in 150m. Very quite place, away from nightclubs :)

Kitchen is small. Water in pipes makes sound, disturbing in nights.

The balcony views were amazing, overlooking the turquoise waters of the bay. The airy One-Bedroom Apartment boasted generous living space, perfectly accommodating my family. With the beach literally steps away, we could slip into relaxation mode anytime we desired!

Right on the beach. Just cross the road and you're there. Good selection of small shops nearby. Cleaners came 3 times during week and were friendly and helpful. They mopped floor, cleaned bathroom, provided towels, sheets if requested, and emptied bin if we hadn't already. 2 swimming pools, 1 with kids area - much cleaner than the ocean but not heated. Apt. included microwave (turntable faulty), toaster, fridge & 2 ring hob (no markings on dials, bottom dial is timer for power, top dial is for leftmost ring, settings are anticlockwise, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Off is at 3 o'clock position.) Other items including air conditioning are extra. Kettle we got had broken lid but worked. Rates for rental are approx €11 for kettle, iron or other small items. Don't know how much for air-con as weather at Easter didn't justify buying it. Lovely new resturant just opened 4 doors up from apartments. Owner Alex and staff make diners very welcome and atmosphere is great, prices keen and food exceptional.

Sorento apts - to the rear of Portofino apts - are hard to get to. Definitely not recommended for anyone who is unfit or of limited mobility. Access to Sorento apts. is out back door of portofino apts across yard up via lift to swiming pool area and then a very steep ramp to 1st, 2nd & 3rd floors where after a bit of searching you'll find a pair of lifts to the 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th floors. Lifts are small but will hold 3 or 4 people easily. Dangerous for baby buggies due to steep angle of ramp, probably impossible for wheelchair users. Swimming pools are not heated, very cold at Easter, ocean was warmer if a bit dirty.
